The Belarusian Hub in Warsaw is a dedicated platform for organizations, initiatives, and activists. It was established in 2021 as a collaborative project between the Linking Media Foundation, the Belarusian Youth Hub Association (reorganized as the Belarusian Youth Hub Foundation in August 2023), and its long-standing leader, Ales Lapko. Our Locations:
Until August 2023: Constitution Square 6 (pl. Konstytucji 6), Warsaw.
Since October 2023: 6a Dożynkowa St. (ul. Dożynkowa 6a), Warsaw.
Mission and Reach: The Hub’s founding mission is to provide coworking and networking opportunities for journalists and activists fleeing political persecution by the Belarusian authorities. While our physical headquarters is in Warsaw, our impact is much broader. We maintain strong partnerships across Poland—including Lodz, Krakow, Bialystok, Gdansk, and Katowice—and actively collaborate with organizations in Lithuania and Ukraine.
Since its opening, the Hub has become the heart of socio-democratic life for Belarusians in Warsaw. On any given day, the space hosts between 30 and 100 activists and journalists, facilitating a vibrant community of professionals. The Hub is a beehive of activity, hosting 3 to 7 events daily, totaling approximately 200 events per month. Our diverse programming includes:
Professional & Educational: Workshops, seminars, language courses, and webinars.
Media & Advocacy: Talk shows, broadcast recordings, and meetings with activists and journalists.
Culture & Arts: A theater school, music rehearsals, and guest performances.
Community: Children’s activities, community discussions, and networking sessions.
In the last two years, hundreds of thousands have fled Belarus, including gifted musicians, educators, and cultural figures. Among them are countless children who, alongside their parents, had to leave behind friends, grandparents, and their beloved hobbies. Warsaw has become the primary refuge for many. It was here that the idea was born: to reunite displaced music teachers with children whose musical journeys were abruptly cut short.
Founded in Warsaw in December 2022, WYSPA is a vibrant community for teenagers. Since its launch, we’ve organized over 80 meetups, including camping trips to the Masurian Lakes, excursions, and integration events with Polish peers. Our club offers a mix of creative workshops, educational sessions, and social games. Our mission is to help children adapt to their new environment, build lasting friendships, and spend their time meaningfully.
The primary goal of Klubień is to build new social ties and foster trust among Belarusian women while strengthening existing connections. We tackle the challenges of social atomization and the risk of the Belarusian diaspora’s assimilation by preserving our cultural and linguistic identity.
It is painful to realize how many Belarusians remain behind bars, enduring endless, monotonous hours in captivity. While there is no simple way to end this injustice, we refuse to give in to despair. Writing a letter is the simplest yet most powerful thing we can do to support our heroes—and ourselves. Since 2021, our volunteers have sent over 4,000 letters and postcards to those unjustly imprisoned.
Belarusam.PL is a dedicated platform for Belarusian NGOs in Poland and a comprehensive information hotline. We provide consultations, refer individuals to specialized organizations, and foster horizontal cooperation between NGOs to benefit the Belarusian community.
This intellectual hub brings together experts and fans of competitive trivia and mind games. Since its first game in 2017, the club has grown to over 100 members who meet weekly to tackle complex challenges. We also host the Open Polish Championship, one of the region's largest festivals. In 2023 and 2026, the event drew over 300 participants from 20 countries!
